The CBZ Foundation was formed as a legacy to continue his dance dreams by helping others pursue theirs. Connor’s long term plans included fundraising to help others with their dance expenses and, he wanted to introduce Ballroom dancing to youth, those with disabilities, and high risk. His compassion for those with special needs was close to his heart as a person who suffered from epilepsy. At the end of day, he said dance was what centered him and what he loved. He wanted to share that love with others.
The Connor Bishop Zion Foundation (CBZ Foundation) was a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization formed with the vision of helping youth dancers and those with disabilities pursue their education and competitive Dancesport goals. The Foundation would provide scholarship awards and fund programs associated with dance classes, private coaching, competitions, and dance costuming.
Ballroom and Latin dancing continues to grow in popularity throughout the world. More and more of our youth are being introduced to this wholesome and exciting team sport. These young talented dancers dream of pursuing their goals and passion for dance to its fullest extent. However, many of these bright stars cannot train to the level they would like due to limitations in finances.
CBZ Foundation’s mission was to assist those who want the experience of this very special sport and help them not only dream it but, to live it.

VISION of CBZ REBOOT
The mission of the CBZ Reboot project will continue with Connor’s basic vision of introducing youth to dance. Show how dance can be an inclusive program for able and disabled bodied individuals. Offer programs for youth (youth defined through College age) at risk.
CBZ’s mission is to offer opportunities to those to be able to experience the joy of social and/or competitive partnership dance/Dancesport. Educate as to how this special sport can take them to higher achievements/goals such as competitions, ambassadorships and, even college scholarships.

Strategic Plan Purpose, Structure and Planning Period
CBZ Reboot intends to align with USA Dance, Inc. a national organization that promotes the quality and quantity of ballroom dance in local communities. CBZ Reboot will be an arm of USA Dance and have an inclusive program with disadvantaged, underprivileged and high-risk students.
Connor thought, dance was his passion and centered him. He realized when he grew older, he didn’t realize how expensive it was. He realized how lucky he was, having USA Dance, his mother and others that supported him dancing. He thought it was a big benefit to him. He wanted to introduce ballroom dancing to others that did not have the same means. Help youth that were disadvantaged and others with disability and high risk (kids that had problems with families).
CBZ Reboot will be an energized arm of USA Dance specializing in promoting ballroom dance to K-12 and college students including special needs; financial and physical. All monies for the programs will come from CBZ Reboot which will agree with the USA Dance mission.
